Lorna debut release on Intromit

Lorna release their beautiful debut "the never grow old EP" later this month, but you can get yourself a copy early via mail order from us (see releases page). Consisting of four tracks ("We will never grow old", "Punxsutawney Song", "Summer Song" and "When we used to stay awake all night") this is the perfect accompaniment to the summer sun.

Mark R, never making life easy for himself, decided the ideal female vocalist for the songs was the distinctively beautiful voice of Sharon Cohen. What's the problem? you might think. Sharon happens to be many miles away from our haunt in Nottingham. In fact Sharon happens to be in Israel where she is currently based due to her national service commitments. So her vocal parts had to be recorded live over the Internet from Israel. Then Mark being ER... well Mark decided the ideal lap steel player for this EP was Corey Cunningham......so live from California the lap steel was sent and recorded. Just when all of us at Intromit think the EP is to be delivered, Mark has a slight twinge of imperfection and ships it to Jorge Martinez at the University of Rochester, New York for some extra mastering. Only eight hours later the final version is back. Mark is pleased, we're ecstatic and absolutely sure you'll realise all the trouble that went in to this EP was worth it.

Lorna's debut album, provisionally entitled "I saw you shaking in the light...." is due for July. They go into the studio next week with Guy Elderfield (Six by Seven, Faithless, Manatee) to capture 3 songs for the album, of which i can tell you "Disco Blues" is already crying out single.
