Lorna album nearing finish

The finishing touches are being put on Lorna's debut album "I saw you shaking in the light" with the final two songs being produced by Guy Elderfield at Sirkus Studios in Nottingham. Six by Seven singer, Chris Olley popped in, to get the feel of Lorna in the studio, as he is to produce their final track for the album, a new version of "we will never grow old". The session also featured a French horn player ( big thanks to Simon from the Herbbirds) drafted in at the last moment for what Mark promises is a classical sounding introduction to new song "Disco Blues".

The album is sounding amazing with a choice of ten singles that could be taken from it. Don't worry, we don't intend to overkill you with singles, the album is just that strong. Typical Mark, why release an ordinary debut album when you can release a greatest hits straight away.

More Lorna news, the video for "We will never grow old" is in production and is again being undertaken by Acacia Media.

Brazils finest, Slag Records are putting "2am Beach Story" (album opener) on to a compilation CD that is to go out free on the cover of a national Brazilian magazine. Other parties on the disc include Mercury Rev and Low. Needless to say, Mark is over the moon about their appearance next to some of his own favorite players. "2am Beach Story" is also to appear on an Italian compilation from the Best Kept Secrets label.
